The rules for awarding the Rector’s scholarship are regulated by:
The Rector’s scholarship may be awarded to a student who has achieved outstanding academic, scientific or artistic results or sporting achievements in a competition at least at the national level.
The Rector’s scholarship is awarded in two categories:
The scholarship is awarded to no more than 10% of students in a particular field of study, including in the sports category – no more than 3% of students receive the scholarship.
The Rector’s scholarship in the academic category can be applied for on the basis of the grade average for the previous academic year. Additional achievements are scored according to the document: Detailed rules for awarding the Rector’s scholarship.
The Rector’s scholarship in the sporting category can be applied for on the basis of sporting achievements in individual or team competition at least at the national level and are scored according to the document: Detailed rules for awarding the Rector’s scholarship.
You cannot receive the scholarship, among others, if:
The total period referred to above shall be extended by two semesters where a student has undertaken a full-time master’s programme whose duration as specified by the law is 11 or 12 semesters.
