New Deans of WSEI University

On September 1, 2024, the term of office of the new Deans of the Faculty of Transport and Information Technology and the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences began. In addition, a new Dean was elected, and at the same time the Director of the WSEI University in Warsaw Branch. The nominations were approved by the WSEI University Convent, and the appointments were handed over by Rector Prof. Marek Opielak, PhD.

The new Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Information Technology is Michalina Gryniewicz-Jaworska, PhD in engineering sciences in the discipline of automation, electronics and electrical engineering. A graduate of the Master of Business Administration MBA, an experienced lecturer, she has served, among others, as Dean of the Informatics faculty or as the Rector's Representative for cooperation with the socio-economic environment at other universities.

Dr. Sylwia Skrzypek-Ahmed, well known in the academic environment of our University, has been appointed Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences. Until recently, the new Dean served as Director of the Academic Sports Championship High School in Lublin and the WSEI University High School. She became known to students in the role of Coordinator of the Administration I and II cycle and Finance and Accounting I cycle in 2018-2023. In addition, Dr. Sylwia Skrzypek-Ahmed was a member of the Team for the preparation of the Strategy of the University of Economics and Innovation in Lublin for 2019-2023. More than 15 years of teaching experience in the Administration I and II cycle will certainly translate into the implementation of education programs and scientific development of staff and students at the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences.

Dean, and at the same time the new Director of the WSEI University in Warsaw Branch is Dr. Jan Jakimiec - PhD in Social Sciences in the discipline of Security Sciences. He has extensive pedagogical experience as a teacher of schools of various levels, as well as an education inspector.

The new Deans will play a key role in managing the Faculties, shaping scientific and educational policy, but also interdisciplinary cooperation. In addition, one of the tasks of the new authorities of the Faculties will be to cooperate with other educational institutions and business partners, so that students will have the greatest possible exposure to business practice in the field. In addition, the staff of the Faculty of Transport and Computer Science will place emphasis on the development and promotion of WSEI University laboratories.
