The Christmas Lottery Badminton Tournament for the Rector’s Cup is behind us

Participants included both students and staff of WSEI University, as well as students from our high schools - the Academic Sports Championships High School and the Academic High School.

Twelve pairs competed in the doubles and six in the mixed.

The winners were second-year physiotherapy students Jakub Zając and Jan Wójcik. - I played badminton in secondary school, then it was more recreational. Now I play football, but I tried my hand at it with a friend in this Tournament and succeeded - says Jakub.

His colleague Jan speaks in a similar vein: - I don't train badminton either, I just play football, but we beat the others, so we
we have satisfaction.

Second place went to a duo of WSEI University staff - Paweł Barwiak, our University's Quaestor, and Edmund Wąsik, Director of the IT Centre.

Prizes were presented to the participants of the Tournament by: Dr Sylwia Skrzypek-Ahmed, Professor at WSEI University, Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences, Małgorzata Banach, Director of Secondary Schools ALMS and ALO, and Małgorzata Pielecka-Sikorska, Deputy Director of Secondary Schools ALMS and ALO.
