AI Integration Framework for Higher Education: Ensuring HEIs’ Readiness for Inescapable Transformation

Project objective

The aim of the project is to comprehensively analyze ethical considerations in integrating AI into various areas of university activity (including teaching, research, and administration) and will emphasize building AI competencies in universities. The project emphasizes the need for transformation and readiness of universities to integrate AI.

Target groups

Direct target groups:

Higher education institutions: The project includes seven higher education institutions that are key beneficiaries. These institutions will implement and use the project results, such as recommendations, recommendations, and a quality toolkit in relation to the use of artificial intelligence.

Academic and administrative staff: As part of the project, 105 scientists, 210 teachers and 210 administrative staff from partner universities will participate in online training.

Students: The project envisages a pilot of the educational module “Ability to use AI and ethics”, which is addressed to at least 700 students from partner universities.

Indirect target groups:

Higher education institutions, academic and administrative staff, students:
The AI ​​Literacy and Ethics module will be made available free of charge to the general public. It can be used by students from other universities and private individuals who want to expand their knowledge of AI technologies. The project engages additional HEI representatives by organizing public events for approximately 350 people and webinars for another 500 education workers.

Project results

  1. Recommendations for implementing AI in accordance with ethical principles.
  2. Recommendations for using AI tools in research.
  3. Recommendations regarding the use of AI tools in conducting classes.
  4. Toolkit on the use of AI tools in university administration.
  5. Guidelines for the AI ​​audit process for HEI.
  6. Online training and educational materials for researchers, academic teachers and administrative staff in the effective and ethical use of AI tools and technologies in their professional work.
  7. “AI Literacy and Ethics” training module for students.
