About event

On 25 May 2025, seven years will have passed since the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) began to apply in EU member states. This is a good time to summarize the seven years of its implementation. During the training, the most important GDPR regulations will be discussed, along with practical examples of their application. The trainer will present, among other topics, the obligation to report data breaches to supervisory authorities within 72 hours and the most common types of breaches observed in Poland. Participants will learn about the role of Data Protection Officers (DPOs), including the practical aspects of their work. The training will also address cooperation between member states in building a shared policy on personal data protection.

For nearly seven years, GDPR has applied across the European Union. During this period, many organizations have had to adapt their procedures to new data protection standards. GDPR has become the cornerstone of the European approach to privacy and a model for regulations in other parts of the world. However, many practical challenges remain, especially in the context of new technologies and international data transfers.
