WSEI University to Carry Out a Joint Research Project with Netrix S.A. Research and Development Center

NETRIX S.A. and WSEI University, acting as a research and development (R&D) consortium, will jointly carry out a research project funded by the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) under contract no. FENG.01.01-IP.01-A0FY/24-00, as part of Priority I of the European Funds for a Modern Economy 2021–2027 (FENG) Program.

The R&D project titled "Detector for Classification of Ultrasonic Signals Using the Doppler Effect and Deep Learning" aims to develop a portable intelligent ultrasonic tomography device that, by leveraging advanced Doppler techniques, will revolutionize the process of diagnosing the technical condition of structures.

The planned innovative instrument, equipped with a multi-row sensor matrix (4x8 sensors), will enable precise wall tomography, providing non-invasive and high-resolution imaging of building interiors.

The project will utilize techniques such as color Doppler, power Doppler, pulsed Doppler, and Doppler spectral analysis. The final product—a portable device—will facilitate the detection of material degradation, reinforcement damage, leaks, and water saturation. This will contribute to increased structural safety and reduced maintenance and repair costs.

The project is led by Dr. Eng. Tomasz Rymarczyk, lecturer at WSEI and Director of the Institute of Computer Science and Innovative Technologies at WSEI University.
