Education for sustainable development: synergy of competences for the recovery of Ukraine (SUSTED)

Project objective

Strengthening the capacity of higher education institutions of Ukraine for sustainable development in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine through the development of competencies in sustainable management and leadership

Target groups

  1. Employees of universities participating in the project.
  2. Students of universities participating in the project.
  3. Non-governmental organizations in Ukraine involved in the reconstruction processes of Ukrainian communities, representatives of war-affected territorial communities of Ukraine (local authorities, urban/rural councils), business representatives.

Project results

  1. Defining the potential of universities in Ukraine in developing students’ competences in sustainable development management.
  2. Development and implementation of a sustainable development management course for the effective employment of graduates in line with the needs of Ukraine’s reconstruction.
  3. Developing mechanisms for knowledge transfer between universities by creating a Virtual Laboratory for Sustainable Activities.
  4. Supporting cooperation between higher education institutions in the business-university-community triad and building their capacity to ensure sustainable development.
