The purpose of the Doctoral Seminar at WSEI University is to enable working professionals to obtain a doctoral degree by acquiring relevant knowledge, skills for individual scientific work under the substantive supervision of a supervisor or supervisors.
As part of the Doctoral Seminar, doctoral thesis preparation is possible in the following disciplines:
- Technical Informatics and Telecommunications
- Economics and Finance
Within the framework of the doctoral seminar, it is possible to prepare an implementation doctorate, which allows to combine research and professional work. The implementation doctorate should have a practical dimension, it allows the preparation of a dissertation that will improve the operation of an organization or enable the development and implementation of an original design, construction or technological solution in the entity that employs the doctoral student.
Doctoral education with the preparation of a dissertation lasts up to 8 semesters. The doctoral student, in consultation with the supervisor, develops an individual research plan including, in particular, a schedule for the preparation of the doctoral dissertation.
