Software for student

Our University has signed agreements with IT companies that offer their software to universities for educational use. The extent to which the software is used and shared is based on the rules set by the company.

PORTAL AZURE

To download Microsoft software (including but not limited to. Windows, Visio, Project) you need to:

  1. Log in with an account from the studentwsei.pl domain to http://aka.ms/devtoolsforteaching
    Note: use Internet Explorer or Edge in a new incognito window (Ctrl+Shift+P).
  2. Accept the terms of use of the portal.
  3. Then type “Education” in the search panel.
  4. After redirecting choose ” Computer/software” the user will be able to access the software.

SPSS STATISTICS

In the 2010/2011 academic year, Lublin’s WSEI University joined a cooperation program with SPSS Poland under the ARIADNA Program. Its aim is to support units conducting scientific, research or teaching activities using SPSS software for statistical processing of quantitative research results. For more information on the ARIADNA program, please visit: www.ariadna.edu.pl

According to the terms of the license, those using IBM SPPS software under the ARIADNA program should promote it by including information about the use of IBM SPSS software for analysis in scientific publications (including undergraduate and graduate theses).

OFFICE 365

To download the Microsoft Office 365 software, please:

  1. Log in with an account from the studentwsei.pl domain to: https://portal.office.com
  2. After logging in, select the button: “Install Office” and select the appropriate option for you.
  3. After selecting the appropriate option, the installation file will be downloaded

MOBILE STUDENT - MOBILE APPLICATION

  1. How to download?
    Go to the play store (Google Play) – for Android or App Store for iPhone and iPad – for IOS devices, search for the application: Mobile Student, press download. Once downloaded, the app will install itself.
  2. How to use?
    • Once the installation is complete, open (launch) the application, then select the university from the icons on the panel. For verification, you need to enter your login and password (login information is the same as for the Virtual Dean’s Office).
    • In order to set data synchronization only over Wi-Fi, you need to properly set a switch in the Mobile Student configuration to allow only such data synchronization.
    • The application allows you to send links to attachments. Attachment files should be placed in advance, for example, on Google drive.

The application is free for any student and is made available under a university license.
