Scientific profile

He has numerous scientific publications, including as author or co-author of 18 scientific books and about 200 articles published in Poland and abroad. In various years, he has been interested in the issues of income distribution-growth relations and the process of adjustment of the economy to market requirements. More recently, he has been engaged in research on foreign direct investment and corporate social responsibility.

He has held research internships at the Institute of National Planning in Egypt; the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, the Institute of Development Studies in Brighton, W. Britain; Ankara University and the University of Lviv.

He led research teams in Egypt (cooperation with American University of Cairo), Sudan, Yemen and Ukraine. He was a member of the advisory team to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on international security issues, author of expert reports for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (e.g., on the economic consequences of the settlement of the Arab-Israeli conflict for the countries of the Middle East and their implications for Polish interests).

Teaching experience

More than 30 years of teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate studies, as well as doctoral and postgraduate studies, including at the UW, Lublin University of Technology and WSEI University in Lublin. He has received numerous rector's awards due to his teaching and scientific achievements.
