Inauguration ceremony of the 24th Academic Year at WSEI University in Lublin.
The inauguration of the new Academic Year at WSEI University in Lublin will take place on October 10 at 12:00 pm in Hall E. The ceremony will be presided over by Vice-Rector for Education and Student Affairs Dr. Mariusz Paździor, Professor at WSEI University. A Holy Mass celebrating the Inauguration will be held on October 1, 2024 at 10:00 am in the Lublin Archcathedral.
Speeches on the occasion of the beginning of the next Academic Year will be delivered by, among others, the Chancellor of WSEI University - Ms. Teresa Bogacka and the Rector, Prof. Marek Opielak, MD, PhD. The culminating point of the event will be the Immatriculation, which is the traditional act of admission as a student of the University.
A regular feature of this unique event is the Inauguration Lecture, this year's one entitled Energy-intensive Structures in the Aspect of Safety Improvement will be delivered by Prof. Jerzy Malachowski, D.Sc. The special guest of the Inauguration is a graduate of the Military University of Technology, a professor in the field of technical sciences, an experienced scientist whose area of scientific-research and implementation-technological work focuses on such issues as: the development of methods for testing materials and structures, the development of computer research methods and simulation analysis in issues related to security and defense, and the development of research methods in issues related to biomedical engineering. Prof. Jerzy Malachowski, D.Sc. currently serves as Director of the National Center for Research and Development, a center operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, whose task is to support and create innovative technological and social solutions, creating an ecosystem of knowledge and information about them. NCRD initiates and implements projects that contribute to the civilizational development of the country.
In addition, as every year during the Inauguration, selected Employees and Graduates of WSEI University will be awarded.
