Scholarships for the academic year 2024/2025

Dear Students, Please be advised that applications for financial aid for the academic year 2024/2025 can be submitted until 15 October 2024.

  1. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS:
    • 15.10.2024, after this date it will not be possible to submit an application.
  2. FORM OF SUBMISSION:
    • ELECTRONIC APPLICATION - prepared and submitted to the student's account in the Virtual Dean's Office
  3. WHO CAN APPLY:
    1. Social security scholarship:
      • ALL STUDENTS, who are eligible for the scholarship and whose income does not exceed PLN 1,570.50 net per person.
    2. Rector's scholarship (academic and sports category):
      • Students admitted to 1 year of first-cycle or long-cycle studies in the year of taking the matura exam, who are laureates of an international olympiad or laureates or finalists of a central-level olympiad referred to in the regulations on the educational system, or are medallists in at least a sports competition for the title of Polish Champion in a given sport referred to in the regulations on sports,
      • Students in the 2nd year of first-cycle or long-cycle studies - for the average of the grades in the courses taken in the 1st year (counted together from courses of the 1st and 2nd semester of studies),
      • Students in the 3rd year of first-cycle or long-cycle studies - for the average of the grades in the courses taken in the 2nd year (counted together from courses of the 3rd and 4th semester of studies),
      • Students in the 1st year of a second-cycle degree programme - for the average of their course grades in the last 2 semesters of the first-cycle degree programme (courses from semesters 5 and 6 - after completing undergraduate studies or courses from semesters 6 and 7 - after completing engineering studies),
      • 2nd year students in second cycle studies - for the average of the grades of the courses taken in the 1st year of the second cycle studies (counted together from courses of the 1st and 2nd semester of the second cycle of studies).
    3. Scholarship for people with disabilities:
      • ALL STUDENTS, who have a current disability certificate and are eligible for a scholarship.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  1. Before submitting an application, it is essential to read the regulations on benefits for students of WSEI University in Lublin and its appendices
  2. Financial aid benefits (i.e. scholarships and allowances) are not available to a student with a vocational degree:
    • Master's degree, Master of Engineering or equivalent;
    • a bachelor's degree, an engineer's degree or the equivalent if he or she is resuming a first-cycle degree programme.
  3. The total period for which scholarships and/or financial aid are available is 12 semesters, irrespective of the student's intake, with the proviso that within this period benefits are available for studies:
    • first degree - not longer than 9 semesters;
    • second degree - not longer than 7 semesters.

This period includes all semesters started by the student from from the date of graduation from high school, regardless of the university or course in which the student took up or continued studies. The number of semesters will be verified and those submitting false information will refund any scholarships unduly received.

Special rules apply to the scholarship for the disabled - please check the Regulations.

  1. The provisions on the duration of studies and professional titles apply to studies and professional titles obtained in Poland and abroad.
  2. Conditional entry into the next year of study excludes the possibility of granting the Rector's scholarship.
  3. Students who have completed their 1st degree programme at another university or who are transferring from other universities are required to attach a certificate of the average of their grades to their application - in accordance with the Regulations. It is not possible to calculate the average on the basis of the attached diploma supplement.
  4. The income criterion for the social security scholarship is PLN 1,570.50 per month net per person in the family.
  5. Students whose monthly income does not exceed PLN 600.00 per person are obliged to attach a certificate confirming that the Student or members of the Student's family received social security benefits in the year of submitting the application for the social security scholarship.
  6. The average marks taken into account in determining the Rector's scholarship do not include marks from professional internships and practical classes.
  7. After submitting your scholarship application via the Virtual Dean's Office, you can download and print the document ‘SHORT APPLICATION VISUALISATION’, which is a confirmation of the successful submission of your application.
