WSEI University Library has undergone modernization

Changes are noticeable right at the entrance. A reception desk with three service stations has been installed in the Library. The desk has two countertop heights, with one lower countertop adapted for serving individuals with mobility impairments.

- A new magazine rack has also been installed. Journals are now better displayed, and accessibility has been improved so that readers can use them independently - says the Director of the Scientific Information Center, MSc. Ewa Golec.

The so-called silent reading room has also been updated, allowing both students and lecturers to work in focus at computer workstations.

- We have increased the number of computer stations from 5 to 10. These stations provide internet access and allow users to place library orders. The stations feature modern desks with adjustable height – they can be raised to a standing position. The desks are also equipped with USB ports and built-in wireless chargers for mobile phones - adds Director Ewa Golec.

Ergonomic, office-style swivel chairs designed for long-term computer use have been placed at the desks.

Additionally, a multimedia board has been installed in the silent reading room. It will certainly be useful if, for example, a student research club or another academic group wishes to reserve the room for a meeting.

- The modernization of the Library is part of the changes we are implementing at our University in celebration of its 25th anniversary. We are continuously expanding not only our educational offerings but also modernizing our infrastructure to provide our students with the best possible study conditions, - emphasizes Teresa Bogacka, Chancellor of WSEI University.
