WSEI University to Conduct Research for Bogdanka Coal Mine

WSEI University will carry out a commissioned research project for Lubelski Węgiel “Bogdanka” as a commercial service planned for the years 2025–2026.

The initiative reflects the active involvement of staff from the Institute of Psychology and Human Sciences, as well as the Institute of Public Administration and Business, in research efforts supporting the socio-economic environment.

The project's objective is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the economic and social impact of LW Bogdanka on the region. It will also include an assessment of risks and opportunities related to local stakeholders, particularly in the context of challenges posed by the sustainable transition.

The scope of the commissioned work includes:

  • analysis of the company’s economic and social impact,
  • diagnosis of the needs and potential of the local community,
  • evaluation and update of LW Bogdanka’s “Stakeholder Relations Policy” for the years 2025–2030.

The interdisciplinary research team is led by Dr. hab. Tomasz Wołowiec, Professor at WSEI University in Lublin and Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation.
