The twentieth Lublin Science Festival is underway from September 14-20, 2024 under the motto “Man is the heart of science”. From Monday to Friday, demonstrations and scientific issues have been presented at our University. Throughout the week, several hundred elementary and high school students visited our walls.
The IX International Scientific and Technical Conference “Transport 2024” was held in Kazimierz Dolny on September 11-13, 2024. The event was organized by the WSEI University’s Faculty of Transport and Information Technology in cooperation with the Motor Transport Institute and the Polish Scientific and Technical Exploitation Society.
September 1, 2024 marked the beginning of the term of Dr. Michalina Gryniewicz-Jaworska, Prof. of WSEI University as Dean of the Faculty of Transportation and Information Technology, and Dr. Sylwia Skrzypek-Ahmed, Prof. of WSEI University as Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences. The nominations were awarded by Rector Prof. Dr. Marek Opielak.
Graduates of the first degree Nursing program in the Polish language course celebrated receiving their diplomas. The ceremony took place on Monday, July 22. In addition to receiving their diplomas, the future Nurses sang the national anthem and took the oath. The event was attended by 135 students out of 173 who graduated from the faculty this academic year.
On Tuesday, July 16, 132 Nursing Students in the English course received their Diplomas of Graduation. The graduates celebrated their graduation together with the University’s academic staff and their families and friends.
Earlier this week, a group of Pedagogy Students under the guidance of Dr. Katarzyna Wieczorek defended their theses.

A conference devoted to the multiple aspects and determinants that constitute the quality of life of the elderly is behind us.
On June 15, 2024. Sebastian Plichta, Ph.D., and Robert Polak conducted field classes as part of practicals for the course “Practical Preparation for Security Threat Situations” for first-year first-cycle students of Internal Security (part-time) at WSEI University in Lublin.
This event was the culmination of the first edition of studies offered by WSEI University in Lublin. Nearly 40 students from all over the country, on a daily basis working in the uniformed services, health care institutions, private companies and public institutions and local governments received Diplomas confirming the completion of this significant stage in education
On June 15-16, the Air Festival was held in Swidnik. Together with the Academic Sports Championship High School, as sponsors of the event, we were present in the form of a promotional booth.
On June 11, a badminton tournament was held in the gymnasium of our University, which was attended by WSEI University Employees and Students and ALMS Students.
The competition was held in the double game category, and the tournament was attended by 7 teams. The winning pair turned out to be the representatives of the Academic Sports Championships High School – Gabriela Koniarczyk and Karol Ganczarenko. Special thanks for the commitment and creation of a sporting atmosphere to the organizer of the tournament – Dr. Maciej Tarnowski.
The trophy and commemorative medals were presented to all participants by Pro-rector Dr. Tomasz Wolowiec and Director Dr. Sylwia Skrzypek-Ahmed.

On Saturday, June 8, Prof. Cortoni held a lecture titled “Designing an educational pathway in preschool and early childhood education using robotics and digital tools.” The lecture was dedicated to all Pedagogy Students.
Dr. Ida Cortoni, Professor at Sapienza University in Rome in the field of sociology of cultural and communication processes, visited WSEI University in Lublin on June 5-8. During the visit, discussions were held on academic cooperation and joint research work. The meetings were attended by Prof. Tomasz Wołowiec and Prof. Monika Baryła – Matejczuk on behalf of the Institute of Psychology and Human Sciences (including a visit to the Experimental Psychology Laboratory).
