SCIENCE PROJECTS

3D printing in vocational education

Implementation period:

2019 - 2021

Financing institution:

ERASMUS +

Project manager:

dr inż. Arkadiusz Małek

The aim of the project is to introduce the use of 3D printers in vocational education in Europe, to increase the effectiveness and relevance of existing training on 3D printing, as well as to support the qualifications improvement of teachers and trainers in vocational education in the area of new technologies and tools supporting the education process. The main target group of the project are teachers and trainers working in the vocational education sector. The materials developed and published on the project website will be available to all representatives of institutions related to education and training interested in their use in practice. Products developed: *REPORT on education with the use of 3D printing/printers in the countries covered by the project; *ANALYSIS OF TEACHING STAFF NEEDS related to the use of 3D printing in teaching; *Training MATERIALS in the form of modular online training for vocational education staff interested in the use of 3D printing in subject teaching; *GOOD PRACTICE GUIDE – use of 3D printing in subject teaching.

Three-axis occlusal biomechanical load simulation machine

Implementation period:

2017 - 2019

Financing institution:

WSEI

Project manager:

dr hab. inż. Daniel Pieniak

The creation of a device that aims to test the durability of materials by mechanical means through varying pressure and changing the position of the counterspray. Mechanical loading is performed in parallel with conditioning, which replicates the factors of the physiological environment, i.e. replicates the movement of teeth and the changing temperature conditions in the oral cavity. The device and test method find their application primarily for testing the durability of dental biomaterials.

Learning with ICT use (LEARN IT)

Implementation period:

2014 - 2016

Financing institution:

Fundacja Rozwoju Systemu Edukacji

Project manager:

dr hab. Grzegorz Wójcik

The main goal of the project is to create a set of tools that will help increase learning efficiency by supporting the maintenance of a high level of learner concentration, in a manner tailored to the individual’s learning pace. As part of the project implementation, the following activities will be carried out: Conducting tests to examine the cognitive abilities, motivation, and level of mathematical knowledge of selected students from partner universities. The tests will be conducted among 216 (72 in each country) students from partner universities. Project target groups.

The project is aimed at: Students Teachers Counseling centers Training companies Research institutes.

Expected results: A publication containing a comprehensive description of the project activities, as well as a list of the hardware and software required to construct the Learning Lab. Software for the Learning Lab, recording individual data during students’ sessions, as well as sending external audio stimuli at specific times. Software for mobile devices that, after inputting data from a person’s session in the Learning Lab, will emit audio stimuli to stimulate the person’s concentration, at intervals matching the average rhyme of the person’s concentration decline.
